Saturday, June 13th, is NEYC's second DEVO EVENT day! This is going to be a fun day of hanging out at the Highland Fun Zone, watching the older kids in a relay race, then participating in a dedicated DEVO race (and adventure ride)!

REGISTRATION:

For current NEYC Development Team Athletes:

If your child is a current member of an NEYC Development Team you can register with this form:  (COMING SOON!)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do NOT register for the DEVO event on CCN. That is for Sunday races, which are open to Race Team members only.

For Non-NEYC Development Team Members:

NEYC allows siblings of current NEYC Racers (members of NEYC Race Teams) and relatives of NEYC Coaches/Staff to participate in the DEVO EVENT. There is DAY OF REGISTRATION ONLY for these participants, for $10. You will need to sign a liability waiver during registration.

RACE COURSE: 

The DEVO Event course will follow the following course: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/47114769

There will be a mid-ride water stop and a bail-out point if the full loop is too much for a Racer.

RACE CATEGORIES:

DEVO Racers will start in small groups, split by grade:

1. GR 4/5
2. GR 2/3
3. GR Kindergarten/1
4. Adventure Ride: this category is open to all DEVO grades and is UNTIMED

EVENT THEME:

Tropical Luau & Hawaiian Shirts!

Break out your Hawaiian shirts and get ready to bring the fun island vibes with your NEYC community!

Important Note: Any costumes/decorations worn by student athletes during races must keep their race jersey visible and must be safe for riding. Staging staff may ask students to remove or modify items that could present a hazard while racing (light sabers, capes, long grass skirts, etc.)

OTHER FUN ACTIVITIES:

While at the venu on Saturday afternoon, check out the following fun events taking place:

1. Highland Fun Zone: obstacle course, games, and a kinetic sand table!
2. Big kids relay race: watch some of the NEYC "big kids" (grades 5-12 and coaches!) battle it out in a fun relay!
3. Post race-treats for sale at the ice cream truck!

POST-RACE TREATS:

We have reserved an ice cream truck to be at the venue in the afternoon. Bring some money and your appetites!

• Helmets MUST be worn anytime you (kids and adults) are riding a bike!
• No wheelies in the team tent area
• No dogs at NEYC races
• NO camping in South Field

*Note that  SS-JV and SS-V must complete one fewer lap than prior races this season because of the extended course length and increased difficulty.

Note: Live results on-line are NOT "official" nor final. After timely protests, penalties, and violations are considered and ruled upon by the Rules Committee, the results on Race day shall then be deemed final.  Please refer to the NEYC Rulebook for full details.

Submit your video clips for a chance to be featured in NEYC's Clips of the Week. Deadline for submitting videos is 12 PM Noon the Monday after each race.
